ABOUT AESTHETE
An aesthete [aes·thete] is "a person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art and beauty." Here at Aesthetes Magazine, we allow ourselves to indulge in our collective love of the cinematic art, whilst still remaining honest to our artistic opinions. You'll hear from the "Peanut Gallery," a group of contributors that have devoted their time to sharing their "unwanted opinions" on an array of films. No matter what, you can count on Aesthetes to lack the filter others may include in their film critiques.

The Peanut Gallery
Aesthete was created for film lovers to indulge in their love of cinema. Rather than focusing on the identity of our contributors, we offer the opportunity for group collaboration with our readers. Our contributors, entitled "The Peanut Gallery," are the main source for reviews and have the ability to make their reviews available for responses and film requests from our readers. But also, you can follow us on Letterboxd for watchlists, small blurb reviews, and more group conversations!

Aesthete prides itself on being as honest as possible. Reviews for cult classics may not have the expected ratings. BUT fret not, there will always be another member of the Peanut Gallery that will recreate the review with their own take on the film. No matter what, you'll find someone who relates to your cinematic taste.

As Aesthete grows, we plan on hosting live instagram discussion, creating merch, and maybe even expanding the focus. Regardless, please know we are open to change and more than willing to hear feedback.
